Defragging on Vista

I just pulled up the defrag dialog for the first time on Vista and I’m a little confused.

I read that as defrag is scheduled to run at 1:00AM on Wednesdays, last run 5 months ago and yet is not scheduled to run again, what?  But it says it is scheduled at 1:00Am on Wednesdays, what gives?

  1. I too miss the GUI of the XP defragger, its frustrating to not be able to see what the program is doing. If you are open to third party tools, try the latest Diskeeper, its awesome! Defrags superfast, can be set to run totally automatic and defrags thoroughly even under low free space. There is a free 30 day trial, but after that you need to upgrade to the paid version.

  2. Hi rummer,

    Thanks for the reply.

Live writer rocks but the old live blog hosting stunk. Now with word press I can actual see the comments people post (a pretty simple and required feature if you ask me).
